Sorry, yah you're right

My classes/bme, mcats and activities have taken over my life...i find, i'm working harder but doing worse in my classes. this sux. oh well. :)

I've had so many adventures this past week...
Quick recap:
1. Bellydance show...it went really well. I'll post the links to the pictures soon.
2. Salud conference...it went awesomely. I'm on the board (it's a Hispanic health care group here on campus i translate for at the local hospital and i'm the funding/budget director). We had about 100 people attend our conference and we got articles published in the baltimore sun and the JHU gazette. I'm very happy about that. And we got commendations from the Baltimore city health commissioner.
3. i almost passed out giving blood. not so fun, but eeeh...
4. relay for life is this weekend, quite excited about that.

okay, i need to study now. bme signals and systems test tomorrow. yayy..noooo!!

i'll update more this friday.
i hope everyone is doing well!! I got a chance to talk to some of you on IM the other nite which i was very happy about.
Good luck to Anne with her play. It sounds awesome.

16 wins in a row...ended by Marquette

Who was that dude, Novak, that kept hitting those 3's. That was nuts.

Pitino said he would come in and turn Louisville around, and he did. We're ranked
#4 for crying out loud. And Garcia and Dean were injured...not to make excuses...but they just weren't 100%. oh well :)

okay, today i gotta in order of necessity:
1) do work
2) mcat class
3) eat at a place called "holy frijoles"
4) watch the super bowl

in order of preference:
1) eat at a place called "holy frijoles" :)
2) watch the super bowl
3) do work
4) mcat class

:)

Thanks Todd, Effie, Supra, and Anne for your comments on my last post. :)

I think energy is the key to all this mess, todd. We need to tap into it. Like your magicians. The possibilities...

Life is very busy yet great now...in some ways it's great that it's busy. I'm rock climbing a lot more now...my arms are jello.

I decided to post an email my roommate wrote me a while back. I was cleaning out my mailbox and found it. I guess it's nostalgia, he wrote this to me at the beginning of the year last year. I hope you read this Dennis. It has been a great year. I'm sorry for not cleaning the dishes or the bathroom as often/as fast as I should have. I see you sleeping right now and I'm so happy that you're my roommate. He's a great, funny (in his own sarcastic way that i love), incredibly nice person. In a way I hope I don't get to be an RA next year so I can live with him again.

I look forward to the late nights we'll spend doing c++, signals and systems, and all that other fun stuff. Oh snap, oh yeahh!!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To Sudip!

Hey wassup?? Oooooh snaaap~ Ok, I must abstain from ghetto talk. So thanks so much for the letter. It really means a lot to me. You're so thoughtful. I'm just sitting here, and you're doing your diff eq homework so efficiently. I must get inspired by your hard work.

I'm really sorry that you got injured this weekend. This shouldn't have happened to you. But I know you're so brave and strong to get through it. I don't know how you do it. I hope your ankle gets much, MUCH better by next week.

I really hope you don't mind my music. If you have any problems (content, volume, etc.) just yell at me. I won't get offended. We're living together, so all the niceties must go away. Like they say in the "Real World", when things "stop being polite--and start being real", Real World Baltimore, McCoy 514C.

This year is going to be awesome, and I know it'll go by really fast because we'll have lots of fun. So we totally have to make use of it. TOTALLY. I'll see you soon.

Yours truly,

Dennis

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yayyyy...the past two days have been soo much superfantastico good times.
The Lord of the Rings was very fun...steak and shake was crowded but it worked out well. I haven't seen Joel in soo long!!
Ahhhhhhhhh...and tonite at Anne's house was grRreat. Sorry I had to leave early and stuff (two word explanation: my parents). The movie charades, hide-and-go-seek, etc. was so much fun with you all.

I'd like to give a few shoutouts to some of my peeps:

Effie: Ahhhhh...it was really great to see you again. really great. I'm glad to see you're doing so well. You're so much fun and energetic and great to be around. Take care and hopefully we can get a manual reunion thing going for Hopkins and UPenn :)

Don Diego: Duuuuude!!! I miss hangin with you (on the tennis courts, in the bathroom, wherever). You made tennis team so much more fun. Hahahhaa...the triad must be strong! Have fun with the black cloak and your sword(s).

Supra: Duuuude!!! That bottlecap is sooo cool and thats so neat that you can do all that origami. Very impressive. Take care this semester! Those snowflakes you had on the other night looked very nice and sparkly.

Sowmya: Your violin playing/dancing was sooo great!! Thanks so much for the scarf also, I really needed one actually. Happy bday (on the 4th)!! Of course, you're still a youngin...19...psha...i feel like an old man

Anne C: Thanks so much for hosting that little reunion party. It was a lot of fun. Hahaha, I can't believe that you know Kathleen who knows Eiline...small world, huh? That dress you had on was really nice, you shoulda kept it on...but i guess it wouldn't have been too cool in the rain.

Kevin: It was great seeing you again this winter break! I really respect you for willing to serve our country like this. I hope you get into that flight program you wanted. It's a lot of fun to hear your academy stories :)

Zoe: Aiiiiy...I miss eatin lunch with you at UofL. Those were some entertaining, silly times. Haha, i definitely do not miss those western blots though! It's good to hear you're doing so well :) You're so intelligent yet cool to be around...like most everyone (all of you at least) at Manual.

Anne B: That staring contest was tough...I haven't done that in a while. Good luck in school and everything!

Tony: I know you won't ever see this but in case you do...i can't wait for the summer!! I hope your research thing at Hopkins works out and I can't wait to frequent Starbucks some more with you on break, etc.

Alritey, I need to get back to packin...then off to school. I'm really gonna miss Louisville now, not just because of the food and being able to drive but because I won't get to see you all for a while.
Tonite was really great

Tonite I got to hang out with Todd and Tony. Todd was gracious enough to have us over for some pizza and we just chilled till about midnight. Oooh, and Craig was there too. He's one hilarious dude. Hilarious, a bit eccentric, but very intelligent nonetheless.
Oooh boy, I love just hanging with those fellas. It's interesting how we have such crazy stories to tell and how our lives have changed so much, yet we can still relate to each other and seem to pick up where we left off from summer break.
Hanging out tonite made me miss my times in high school. I do not miss the waking up at 6:20 am, boring classes, etc. but I really miss hanging out with those people everyday. That last semester (senior year) was a blast.
But I love college and I'm having a different sort of fun i suppose. Still wish I could see more of some of the people back here in louisville.
Ooooh, Effie and I were thinking of moving the big get together for Jan. 1. Come Come!! Leave that day open.
I can't wait to see all you wonderful people over this break. I wish it could've been longer. But i guess we can appreciate it more this way.

OOOOh...Vy if you're out there and you read this...i havent got a chance to tell you thank you for the wonderful christmas card because i got it right before i left for louisville. It was really nice, thanks :)
